2011 Annual Meeting Summary
The annual meeting of Westbury Manor residents was held March 5, 2011 at 3:00. Officer Steve Borawski from the Chesterfield Police Department's COPS division updated the group about notable crimes in the community in 2010. Most notable, a car larceny on High Valley and an attempted burglary on High Valley. He reminded residents to lock the door between their garage and home and to keep vehicles locked. It was noted that cars cannot be parked on the street for 24 consecutive hours and that cars should be off the street during snow storms. If a car is on a snow route, it can be towed if it is not removed after the first attempt to have the owner remove it. A home owner suggested a 4-way stop be installed at High Valley and Glen Cove.
Ian Fagala, owner of Essential Fitness, introduced himself and his business to the community. It is located in the Four Seasons center and they offer personal training and group weight loss challenges.
President Ellie Kessler announced that she was stepping down as Trustee President. Her new role will be President Emeritus.
Ted Gottlieb, Trustee and Real Estate Broker, gave a summary of the real estate market in general and Westbury Manor in specific. Westbury is keep pace with surrounding communities.
It was mentioned that efforts continue to insure that boats, trailers and RV's are not visibly stored on Westbury properties. While the indentures are being reviewed, the topic of sheds, trampolines, forts and play sets are being discussed.
Don Boekemier counted trustee election ballets. All nominees, Corey Wallis, Tim McIntyre, Dana Pannett, and Ted Gottlieb were elected for 2 year terms. Ann Book was introduced as a trustee appointed to serve the remaining year of Laura Ryterski's term. Laura chose to step down as trustee in charge of the pool.
